In order to ensure this protection, SEVITAGENETICS undertakes to collect, process and share information that can identify an individual only when the latter has consented to it, unless permitted or required by law, in which case your consent will not be required.   

The purpose of the Policy is to inform users of the purposes and manner in which SEVITAGENETICS, or any person acting on its behalf, will collect and use their personal information. It is intended to be in plain language in order to ensure informed consent from users.   

For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means any information about an identifiable or identifiable individual. To the extent possible, we will anonymize, pseudonymize and/or aggregate it so that it no longer identifies an individual.

It is not always possible, particularly in the context of a state request, to obtain the individual’s consent to collect, use or disclose his or her personal information. We will never disclose this type of information, other than in accordance with this Policy, unless we are required or permitted by law.

The information collected is collected in accordance with the purposes and objectives set out in this privacy policy.

  • To provide products and services : We will collect and process the data and information necessary to fulfill our mission and contractual obligations.

SEVITAGENETICS may collect personal information in a variety of forms but will only do so by lawful means and only for the necessary purposes disclosed to you, as described in this policy, or when permitted or required by law.    

The personal information collected, as well as its sensitivity, may vary depending on the context in which the interactions between you and SEVITAGENETICS take place.    

We protect all personal information collected. Among the personal information that may be collected and used, we pay particular attention to:

  • Proof of identity. Passwords, password hints, and other similar security information used to identify you and access your account.

  • Troubleshooting and help data. Data you provide when you contact SEVITAGENETICS for assistance, including the products you use, and other information that helps us resolve your issue. 
  • Research. Search queries you use when you use our website. 
  • Location data. Data, which may or may not be accurate, about the location of your device. For example, location data may be collected from a device’s IP address or data from your account profile that is less accurate about your location, such as a city name or postal code.  
  • Hardware and software data. Data about the hardware and software used to navigate our site. For example, the type of platform (mobile, desktop, tablet) and the name, language, and version of the operating system and browser.  
  • Other data. Other data provided when you use our website, including data from Google Analytics.

  • To provide our products. We use data to run our products, for example, the customer area is used to manage your contracts. 
  • Customer support. We use the data to diagnose and resolve problems with products and/or services, restore access to your personal account, and provide other support and assistance services. 
  • Contribute to securing and resolving problems. We use data to help secure and troubleshoot our products. This includes using data to ensure the security of services offered to our customers, detecting malware and malicious activity, troubleshooting performance and compatibility issues to help customers get the most out of their experience, and notifying them of updates to our products. This may include using data to ensure the security of services offered to our customers including the use of automated systems to detect safety issues. 
  • Security. We use data to protect the safety of our products and customers. Our security features can prevent malware from operating and notify users when malware is detected on their device 
  • Surveys and promotional communications. We use the data we collect to provide surveys and promotional communications. You may subscribe by email, respond to surveys, and choose whether or not to receive promotional communications from SEVITAGENETICS via email, SMS, postal mail, and telephone.   • Relevant offers. SEVITAGENETICS uses data to provide you with relevant and important information regarding the products and services offered.   • Commercial transactions. We use data to process your transactions with us. For example, we use personal data to enter into certain agreements with our customers.  
  • Reporting and business operations. We use data to analyze our operations and improve decision-making. This allows us to make informed decisions and report on the performance of our business.

  • Legal compliance. We process data to comply with the law.  We also process contact details and identifiers to help customers exercise their data protection rights.

7. Treatment processes used 

SEVITAGENETICS attaches the utmost importance to the security of your personal information and undertakes to treat it according to industry norms and standards, only for the purposes for which it is collected as described in this policy or in a specific notice to this effect. However, absolute backup of the latter is impossible given the security limits inherent in transmission via the Internet. The information transmitted to us is therefore ultimately at the user’s own risk.  

 8. How to access and control personal information

 SEVITAGENETICS ensures that all personal information in its possession is as accurate, current and complete as is necessary for the purposes for which it is used.  

You have the right to request access to your personal information for audit purposes and to request correction if it is inaccurate. If you believe that your personal information is inaccurate or if you would like access to your personal information, you may make a request using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy. 

To the extent we can, we will provide you with timely access to your personal information. However, as a security measure, we may need to verify your identity.

In addition, there may be circumstances where we will not be able to provide you with access to your personal information. This includes access to the disclosure of another individual’s personal information and that individual refuses to consent to the disclosure of that information, or where legal restrictions apply. If this occurs, we will advise you of the reason why we cannot provide you with access to your personal information.

9. Sharing and why we share personal information with third parties

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of SEVITAGENETICS, except for our authorized vendors and partners who need to have access to the information for the purposes listed in and within the limits of this policy, as well as in the following cases:  

  • With your consent.
  • For storage in cloud servers, in which case personal information could transit through third party jurisdictions. Please note that we only use the services of reputable companies with privacy policies.
  • For external processing purposes: We transmit personal information to other companies or trusted persons who process it on our behalf, on our instructions, in accordance with this Privacy Policy, with a degree of data security at least equivalent to ours and in compliance with any other appropriate security and confidentiality measures.  
  • For legal reasons: We transfer personal information outside of our company if access to it is necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

SEVITAGENETICS will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.  

10. Cookies and similar technologies 

SEVITAGENETICS may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, log files, or other technologies to collect certain personal information about visitors to our websites. Cookies are pieces of information transmitted by the server to the browser during a visit to the website and which make it possible to uniquely identify the current connection.

Please note that our website or customer area may contain links or references to third-party sites. This policy ceases to apply at the time of leaving our website or customer area. SEVITAGENETICS is not responsible for the collection or processing of personal information by these third parties or through these external sources.    

11. Retention of personal information 

SEVITAGENETICS keeps the collected data for different periods of time, depending on its nature and usefulness in offering our products. During the retention period, SEVITAGENETICS takes physical and technical measures to ensure the security of data containing personal information.  

The main places where personal information is stored are cities in which SEVITAGENETICS has offices or facilities and in cities in which Google analytics has servers containing the data collected by SEVITAGENETICS. 

Personal information may be stored outside of the country in which you live, if a third-party provider or other entity to which we disclose personal information in accordance with this Policy is located outside the country. In such cases, the personal information may be subject to the local laws of the countries or territories in which the information is collected, used, disclosed or stored, and may be accessed by government and law enforcement authorities in those countries or territories. 

Once the retention period expires, the personal information is destroyed. Only statistics or reports containing de-identified and anonymized data may be retained for extended periods of time.

Changes to these Rules:

We make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any reduction of your rights under this Privacy Policy will not be enforced without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date on which the last changes were made and allow you to access the documents for viewing. If the changes are significant, we post a prominent notice on our website.
